Job Opportunity:

The Urban Development Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the Urban Development team in ACT, developing and implementing strategic plans to drive growth in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the allocation of resources across the discipline to meet project requirements, prioritizing tasks accordingly
  • Lead the effective planning and management of significant projects within the Discipline
  • Ensure work is delivered to technical standards, meeting organizational policies and procedures
  • Manage efficient project delivery and quality, meeting deadlines and expectations, with strong cost management
  • Develop business opportunities and oversee bid management processes in the ACT region
  • Coordinate resource sharing between teams within the sector
  • Manage, train and mentor staff
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive team culture, promoting respect and understanding
  • Maintain good team morale by building a positive work environment and addressing conflicts
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in Urban Development
  • CPEng status desirable but not essential
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong relationships in the Urban Development sector
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience managing an individual team desirable
  • Understanding of ACT specifications and procedures desirable
