About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced journalist to join our team as a Casual Arabic TV News Reporter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading media organization and contribute to the production of high-quality news content for our Arabic-speaking audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, arrange, and report on news content relevant to the Arabic-speaking community in Australia.
  • Work on a range of television reporting and production tasks, including researching and writing news stories, conducting interviews, and editing footage.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders and experts.
  • Contribute to the development of the Arabic TV News bulletin, including suggesting story ideas and providing input on content.
  • Meet strict deadlines and work effectively under pressure to deliver high-quality content.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and broadcast standard Arabic is essential.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Arabic-speaking community in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in journalism, with a strong track record of producing high-quality news content.
  • Practical experience and demonstrated skills in broadcast reporting, including experience in providing content across all news platforms.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, email, and digital media editing/production software.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meeting strict timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
