Senior Business Performance Analyst

The role of Senior Business Performance Analyst is a key position within the RBS Finance team. It involves providing strategic and commercial advice to the RBS Leadership Team and RBS CFO.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and inspiring four diverse and critical teams – Performance Reporting, Data Analytics, Frontline Reporting, and Line 1 Risk. This will include providing end-to-end oversight of the weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and full-yearly performance reporting process for RBS.

The Senior Business Performance Analyst will drive RBS business outcomes by providing strategic and commercial advice to the RBS Leadership Team and RBS CFO. They will also be responsible for preparing high-quality presentations, supporting analysis, and strategic insights for senior management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services and preferably experience in a Retail Banking environment (10+ years). They should possess excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills. A high degree of commercial acumen is essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

Strong leadership skills are required, including experience building and managing a high-performing team. The successful candidate will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and experience managing senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and commercial advice to the RBS Leadership Team and RBS CFO;
  • Lead and inspire four diverse and critical teams – Performance Reporting, Data Analytics, Frontline Reporting, and Line 1 Risk;
  • Drive RBS business outcomes by providing strategic and commercial advice;
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, supporting analysis, and strategic insights for senior management;
  • Engage with and build strong relationships with a broad range of Finance-related stakeholders;
  • Act as the key point of contact for the RBS CFO and Group Finance;
  • Manage and support a team of direct and indirect reports.

Requirements:

  • Financial Services experience, preferably in a Retail Banking environment (10+ years);
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
  • High degree of commercial acumen;
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously;
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience building and managing a high-performing team;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders.
