Production Technician">

The role of a Production Technician involves manufacturing, assembling, servicing and testing lifting equipment in accordance with Australian Standards and company policies.

  • Operating hydraulic presses, chain cutters and other testing equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are met;
  • Assembly and inspection of lifting gear including wire ropes, wire rope slings and chain slings;
  • Manufacturing and testing of chain and wire rope slings for various applications;
  • Picking and packing products according to customer orders;

This is an entry-level position that requires a strong work ethic, commitment to safety and quality, as well as excellent communication skills. A fork lift license is required and previous experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, stores or warehousing environments;
  • Knowledge of the Lifting, Rigging or Safety Industry, although this is not essential;
  • Ability to interpret technical information and perform standard calculations;
  • Forklift license with recent experience;
  • A commitment to safety and quality;
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability and willingness to work in a small team;
  • Computer skills for data entry – training will be provided;
  • Motivation to learn and progress into other roles within the business;
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment;
  • Dedication, reliability, commitment and a strong work ethic.
