Job Description

We are seeking skilled fitters to join our team at a leading manufacturer of heavy machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.

Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements, ensuring the highest level of performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workshop repairs and maintenance
  • New machine pre-delivery preparation and inspection
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Safety/Quality
  • Cross-functional support
  • Fault finding, repairs, and services including but not limited to: diesel and petrol engines, diesel, petrol, and LPG fuel systems, steering systems, transmissions – hydrostatic, powershift, and manual, brake systems, hydraulic valves and cylinders, electrical starting, charging, and accessories, service, and diagnostic repairs
  • Liaise with spare parts team to determine parts required for repairs
  • To complete repair and services within reasonable time frames
  • To process workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basis
  • Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and comply with requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation
  • Other duties as directed
