Job Opportunity: Delivering High-Quality Nursing Care

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents and clients. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote independence and support residents in engaging in meaningful activities
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide person-centered service and support that is safe and effective
  • Ensure medications are administered timely and safely, and report any concerns or adverse reactions to the Registered Nurse
  • Provide guidance, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching as required to Personal Carers on each shift
  • Maintain current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled nursing practice
  • Report any risks that have the potential to cause an accident or injury
  • Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) & Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
  • Experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care Environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with a level of English literacy that enables clear communication with older people
  • The ability to read written instructions and write clearly and concisely, particularly in progress notes
  • Strong time management skills to manage own workload and meet deadlines
  • High-level understanding of supporting residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviors
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards, particularly as they relate to accreditation
