Head of Research Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Research to lead our research team and deliver high-quality market insights. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and delivering content schedules, engaging with media, and enhancing brand awareness.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver content schedules including weekly market blogs, regular flagship reports, and topical research publications.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the organization, engaging with print, radio, TV, and online media to provide expert commentary and respond to key market events.
  • Deliver compelling keynote presentations and tailored briefings to industry bodies, clients, and consumers, enhancing brand awareness and positioning the organization as the leading voice in property analysis and thought leadership.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity, collaborating with analytics, data, and product teams to ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and meet high standards.
  • Identify revenue opportunities via public speaking, report syndication, and consulting activities.
  • Support clients with tailored market insights and contribute to cross-functional projects including marketing campaigns and strategic planning.
  • Manage travel commitments, primarily between major cities and regional centres, to deliver presentations and engage with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience as a research leader or senior economist with a strong track record in property market analysis or related fields.
  • Formal qualifications in economics, finance or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and demonstrated experience as a confident media spokesperson, comfortable engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Skills in producing engaging research content that drives brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams including media, social media, analytics, and product.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to key locations.
  • Commercial mindset with an understanding of revenue generation through research products and consulting.
