Are you looking for a career in jewellery manufacturing? As a Jeweller/Diamond Setter, you will be responsible for setting precious stones, especially diamonds and gemstones in various sizes and shapes.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Securing precious stones in settings, ensuring proper retention and smoothness
  • Assessing designs and specifications of jewellery precious metals such as gold and platinum
  • Utilizing specialized hand and power tools to shape, cut, file, beat, turn, and bend molded metal
  • Performing repairs on jewellery items by soldering, replacing, and rebuilding worn or broken parts
  • Restyling old jewelry pieces to enhance their appeal and meet customer preferences

You will have the opportunity to work with high-end and one-of-a-kind jewellery, diverse gemstones and diamonds in terms of quality, shape and size. You must possess technical understanding of polishing and setting jewellery manufacturing techniques and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and willing to change responsibilities within the department as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Jewellery setting experience, especially setting diamond and gemstone - working with high-end and/or one-of-a-kind jewellery.
  • Experience working with Platinum, all types of gold, Palladium
  • Master in bead, channel, prong and pave setting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
