Job Title: Master Stone Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Masonry Tradesperson to join our team as a Master Stone Craftsman. This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to showcase their expertise in stone masonry, working on high-end residential and commercial projects.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in all aspects of stone masonry, including fabrication, installation, and polishing. They will be responsible for setting out stone, cutting, shaping, and finishing it to the highest standards. Additionally, they will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Set out stone according to layout or pattern
  • Cut, shape, and polish marble or stone using power saws, cutting equipment, and hand tools
  • Drill holes in marble or ornamental stone and anchor brackets in holes
  • Smooth and polish surfaces using hand tools and power tools
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
  • Work from templates to set out stone
  • Glue and clamp stone together
  • Collaborate with Supervisory Tradesmen and follow directions and training
  • Hold a valid White Card - Construction

Requirements:

  • An Experienced quality Tradesperson with a strong background in stone masonry
  • Trade qualified Stone Mason or relevant experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the trade
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with white cards - construction
