Overview:

St Catherine's is a supportive and beautiful community that provides high-quality care to families across the Diocese of Townsville. Our Kindergarten and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services are well-established, supporting families across the wider Whitsunday region. We offer nurturing care and early education for children from Kindergarten age through to older students in OSHC.

About the Position:

We are currently seeking a Diploma-qualified (or working towards) Casual Educator to join our enthusiastic and supportive team at St Catherine's OSHC. This position offers flexible casual shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm, with the opportunity for additional hours at the Kindergarten. In addition to core educator duties, this role also includes responsibilities as the Educational Leader, attracting an additional allowance of over $4,000 per annum in recognition of this leadership position.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Diploma (completed, or working towards) in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (Education Support, studying Bachelor of Education or similar qualifications approved under ACECQA)
  • Understanding and knowledge of My Time Our Place Framework
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
  • The ability to work effectively in a close-knit team environment
