Job Overview

Senior Taxation Professional

This role is suited to a senior taxation professional with strong technical expertise and a proactive, advisory mindset. They will lead tax engagements for a diverse client base and report directly to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Return Preparation and Review: Prepare and review tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Tax Advice: Provide expert advice on GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A, and small business concessions.
  • Tax Planning and Structuring: Manage tax planning and structuring for high-net-worth individuals and family groups.
  • Compliance and Portfolio Management: Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and oversee complex client portfolios.
  • Workflow Efficiency and Team Support: Support workflow management and drive efficiency across tax engagements. Mentor and guide intermediate and junior accountants.
  • Clients Partnership: Partner with clients to deliver proactive solutions and build strong long-term relationships.
Requirements
  • Experience: Significant experience in Australian taxation within public practice.
  • Tax Knowledge: Deep technical knowledge of tax legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Complex Issue Management: Proven ability to manage complex tax issues for a varied client base.
