Job Title

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated staff member to join our team as a Café/Food Services Assistant.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity that involves delivering catering needs, special requirements, and food preferences to our residents, their families, and friends.

  • Serving residents, families, and their friends
  • Preparing, presenting, and serving food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for dietary requirements
  • Plating and presenting food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements

The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, great communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as experience working in a café, food services environment, and/or at an aged care facility.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate
  • Previous experience working in a café, food services environment, and/or at an aged care facility
  • Patience, common sense, and a strong ethos of client service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision
