Job Title: Recycling Operative

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to work as a recycling operative in our waste management team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting building materials on a continuous conveyor line, working in a noisy and dusty environment.

This is a standing role that requires the ability to work for extended periods without breaks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To sort various types of building materials including concrete, timber, masonry, gyprock, and metal.
  • To ensure all materials are sorted efficiently and effectively.
  • To maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A current drivers license is highly desirable.
  • A construction white card is essential.
  • The ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
  • Experience in waste management or recycling is an advantage but not essential.

Selection Criteria:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of physical fitness and stamina.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Standing for extended periods is required.
  • Physical demands include lifting heavy objects and bending.

Drug and Alcohol Testing:

Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is conducted prior to commencing employment.
