Key Role Overview
We are seeking skilled mechanical fitters to join our team, where you will play a vital role in delivering work orders and ensuring the maintenance of our water network.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and delivering allocated work orders, including fault finding, repairs, and servicing of mechanical equipment across the Seqwater network.
- You will service, repair, and inspect assets such as pumps, gearboxes, actuators, cranes, and winches, as well as perform administrative tasks and document work progressions within the computerised maintenance management system.
- Travel and commute to relevant assets across the network, including attendance at pre-start meetings, is also a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems, using your technical knowledge and skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Work closely with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive excellence in maintenance delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- C-Class driver's license and trade mechanical certificate required.
- Experience in mechanical trades, preferably in large maintenance programs and networks, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads, with flexibility to travel and commute to relevant assets.
