Job Opportunity

We have a vacancy for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Townsville.

This role is based in the Defence sector and involves supporting operations in the NQLD region with occasional travel to other sites in Queensland.

As a key player in the Defence industry, you will be working on fuel installation assets and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment.
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment.
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment.
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required.
  • Support various sites in the region, with occasional travel to sites throughout Queensland.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience.
  • Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.
  • Experience in defence fuels network or defence industry is highly regarded.
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets are highly regarded.
  • Safety conscious mindset.
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, appropriate Defence Security Clearance.

  • Level 1 – $47.07 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly).
  • Level 2 – $50.67 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly).
  • Level 3 (Dual Trade) – $54.28 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly).
