Childcare Centre Manager Position

Job Description:

The Childcare Centre Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a remote childcare centre. The centre provides early childhood education and out-of-school hours care to children in a coastal community. The manager will work closely with local staff to design and implement programs that meet the needs of children, families, and the community.

About the Role:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to reporting staff to ensure day-to-day operations are in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate programs for children in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Oversee continuous improvement and compliance to ensure the centre meets and exceeds quality standards.
  • Lead by example and promote a positive work environment that aligns with organisational values and philosophy.
  • Actively engage with families, staff, and the community to champion cultural safety and child-safe practices.
  • Ensure the workplace operates within health and safety requirements and duty of care is maintained.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (must provide evidence of ACECQA approval).
  • Current First aid and CPR certification.
  • Clear NPC and Ochre card required before commencement.
  • Must be located in Australia with full-time working rights.
  • Strong organisational skills, including planning, time management, and scheduling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to comply with organisational code of ethics, vision, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in building successful relationships with staff, families, and community.
