We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical design team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a range of projects across various sectors, demonstrating leadership and contributing to the success and growth of our business.


As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expertise in electrical design for both single and multi-disciplinary projects. Your role will involve leading small to medium-sized design projects, ensuring best practice delivery while managing costs and timelines, and developing strong relationships with clients.


About the Role:

This senior engineering position requires a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and 6-10 years' experience on Australian building services projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation, as well as excellent project management skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Design Expertise: Provide electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects, particularly in high rise residential towers, commercial and tertiary education, aviation, and healthcare.
  • Project Leadership: Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Best Practices and Cost Optimization: Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality.
  • Client Relationship Development: Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs.
  • Business Unit Development: Contribute to the development and growth of the business unit by supporting strategic goals and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall success.
