Accounting Professional Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent problem-solving skills and experience working with ERP systems.

About the Role:

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial statements for presentation to management and governing bodies
  • Maintain internal control procedures to safeguard financial data and ensure accurate financial reporting using MYOB/XERO/QUICKBOOK/Q6 and other accounting software
  • Prepare taxation returns and BAS lodgements
  • Assist in the preparation of budgetary and accounting policies to aid in financial forecasting
  • Provide assurance about the accuracy of financial reports by complying with accounting principles, company policies, and statutory requirements
  • Monitor income and expenditure and examine operational costs
  • Provide financial and tax advice on business structure suitability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting & Finance
  • More than 3 years of experience as an Accountant
  • Progress towards CPA qualification preferred
  • Highly developed problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Detailed knowledge of vendors/distributors/manufacturers/subcontractors and projects
  • Experience with Client contracts
  • Knowledge of Australian Tax Laws and AASB Accounting Standards
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with large ERP systems highly regarded
