About the Role

This role offers a competitive salary with vehicle, super, and benefits. As the Chief Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring all internal controls and procedures are in place to guarantee quality and safety in our installations.

You will be based 50/50 between our Smithfield office and site visits, where you will conduct roof and electrical infrastructure assessments on commercial and industrial job sites. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will operate independently of the operations division.

Job Description
  • Quality Control:
    • Create and manage company technical specifications for solar system installations
    • Develop and enforce commissioning and testing processes for QA and client handover
    • Inspect and complete inspection reports for each milestone of all jobs
    • Issue defects to the projects team and ensure timely completion
    • Audit job photos before weekly client reports
    • Provide monthly bulletin points for our Trill newsletter
    • Evaluate training for the installation team on tech spec completion
    • Review past projects annually during the DLP period
  • Health and Safety:
    • Maintain compliance with CM3 and update necessary licenses and registrations
    • Develop and implement WHS management plans per project and site
    • Integrate and manage digitalised SWMS, JSA, and WHS forms
    • Manage employee and client incidents and ensure documentation
    • Develop an internal training process and evaluation for safety procedures
    • Ensure PPE and uniform registers are up-to-date
    • Audit site safety management plans
Requirements
  • Certified in relevant WHS licenses/qualifications (Cert IV in WHS ideal)
  • Construction background (ideally) or electrical background in industry/commercial
  • Full Australian Driver Licence
  • Self-managed and able to work well in leadership team
  • Will travel interstate and remote locations for site audits
  • Must possess core values: committed, consistent, and positive
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite and digital platforms for operations management
Estimated Salary

$110,000 - $140,000 AUD per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
