Public Place Management Specialist

Business Unit: Transport & Civil Infrastructure
This role encompasses managing road assets, traffic management, and street lighting; as well as infrastructure related to parking system assets.
The key focus areas of this position include:
- Providing leadership in staff management
- Supervising, supporting, and developing inspection staff on a day-to-day basis
- Motivating and enhancing team performance to meet service standards
- Maintaining WHS&E standards to ensure compliance with relevant Statutory Regulations
- Promoting high-standard service delivery that fosters community trust
- Communicating effectively with customers to efficiently resolve requests and contribute to a positive customer experience
This role requires expertise in task allocation, performance monitoring, conflict resolution, and asset condition reporting. Relevant qualifications or experience in trades or related fields are also essential.
The successful candidate will be able to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions, utilize computer-based systems, supervise and motivate diverse teams, and work independently with minimal supervision.
A strong emphasis is placed on Workplace Health and Safety, and skills and knowledge in road, drainage, and civil public infrastructure are also crucial.
