The position involves working as part of a dynamic team, assisting with archaeological excavations, including monitoring, manual excavation, and recording features and relics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with archaeological excavations, including monitoring, manual excavation, and recording features and relics.
  • Learn technical aspects of archaeology and heritage projects, including fieldwork, research, and assessments.
  • Support a range of services including consultation, fieldwork, and historical archaeological assessments.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Individuals who are currently undertaking tertiary qualifications in archaeology are encouraged to apply. A minimum of 1 year of experience in conducting archaeological excavation and reporting, with emphasis on Australian Indigenous and historical archaeology is preferred.

Successful candidates will possess strong research, interpretation, report writing, and effective communication skills. They should be passionate, hardworking, and a great fit for our spirited, collaborative culture.
