Job Title: Family Support Specialist

**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for a carer lived experience specialist to join our eating disorders program at Austin Health.

As a family support specialist, you will work closely with families and carers of individuals affected by eating disorders to provide emotional support and guidance.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience as a family member or carer of someone with an eating disorder and be able to use their knowledge and experiences gained from their own lived experience to benefit others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to families and carers of individuals affected by eating disorders
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Contribute to the development of resources and programs that support the needs of families and carers

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Lived experience as a family member or carer of someone with an eating disorder
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
