The Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to fill the position of Program Coordinator Student Services. This role focuses on promoting student wellbeing through engagement, attendance, and positive mental health initiatives. The successful applicant will work closely with the executive team to set strategic directions and collaborate with staff to achieve broader school objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed and maintain aspects of the school culture that promote positive relationships between students and staff;
  • Engage parents, caregivers, and the wider community in the educational work of the school;
  • Develop an integrated system to proactively address issues and maximize well-being and positive behaviour in the school;
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to staff members;
  • Maintain a calm, productive atmosphere and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership in diverse educational settings;
  • High-level interpersonal and public relations skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge to ensure high-quality educational outcomes for all students;
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage staff, physical, and financial resources;
  • Knowledge of current behaviour support principles and practice, consistent with the Department of Education Managing Student Behaviour;
  • Knowledge and training in WA Positive Behaviour Support (WAPBS), Classroom Management Strategies (CMS), Restorative Practices, Case Management, and Department policy.

Salary

The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary commensurate with experience, estimated at $95,000 - $110,000 per annum.
