About the Role

Bulla Dairy Foods is a leading Australian dairy company with a rich history of producing high-quality dairy products. We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Lead to manage our manufacturing site in Colac.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Prioritize safety in all aspects of the role, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Quality Management: Ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory standards. Work closely with the Quality Team to drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality processes.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement the annual Operating Plan aligned with overall business objectives. Lead the team in achieving performance goals through effective communication, goal setting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Provide leadership and support for cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Operations. Drive collaboration and innovation to meet the company's objectives.
  • Financial & Business Management: Participate in budget development and ensure site performance to committed numbers and key performance indicators. Manage company assets to ensure optimal return on investment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the implementation of best practices in manufacturing, including Lean, Total Productive Maintenance, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements
  • A strong knowledge of occupational health and safety and food safety standards, with a preference for experience in the dairy industry.
  • Extensive experience in managing manufacturing operations, particularly with a focus on continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to positively influence and drive change within a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of financial management, including experience in budget planning and analysis.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in operations management or a related field (highly desirable).
