About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team at Piper Alderman. As a key member of our finance delivery team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and management of outstanding balances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Receivable Processes: Ensure all accounts receivable processes are in line with our credit policy and procedures.
  • Debt Recovery Strategies: Develop and implement strategies with key stakeholders to ensure the recovery of outstanding debt.
  • Collection Calls and Communication: Conduct collection calls and communicate with debtors, including managing legal cases.
  • Bank Statement Reconciliations: Reconcile office bank statements, process payments, and respond to queries.
  • Process Digitization: Assist with digitizing our accounts receivable processes and reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4 years' experience in a similar accounts receivable/credit controller/call centre role, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of trust and credit law and related best practices.
  • Relationship Management: A track record of success in maintaining relationships in a collections or sales environment.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation skills with sound judgment to make recommended actions.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, including confidence and maturity when communicating with senior team members and clients.
  • Attitude: A proactive, positive, and energetic attitude with a professional, 'happy to help' nature.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized and efficient, with a keen eye for detail.
