We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Aboriginal Health Worker to join our team in Moruya.
- This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing culturally safe health services, working effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, developing and delivering health promotion and education initiatives, and communicating effectively with Aboriginal people.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality health services that cater to the unique needs of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Foster strong relationships with local Aboriginal communities to promote trust and understanding.
- Develop and implement health education programs that address the specific health needs of the community.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
- You must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
- A minimum of Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a relevant Certificate III health qualification is required.
- Established links with your local Aboriginal community are essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community, including awareness of issues impacting on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people, is necessary.
