Child Psychiatrist

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to deliver exceptional care and lead innovative programs. As part of our dedicated team, you will be working in the stunning region of Western Australia, providing clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment to children, adolescents, and youth.

The Job Description:

You will be responsible for delivering leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, including general practitioners, healthcare providers, and community agencies. This role also involves overseeing the implementation of recommendations from the Infant, Child, and Adolescent Taskforce and participating in quality improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment to children, adolescents, and youth
  • Deliver leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams
  • Oversee the implementation of the Infant, Child, and Adolescent Taskforce recommendations
  • Chair clinical review processes and ensure adherence to relevant legislation

Requirements:
  • Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Experience in child and adolescent mental health
