Job Title: Contract Coordinator - Parks

Job Summary:

MBC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contract Coordinator – Parks to manage and coordinate the City's parks contracted service delivery and park assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective work systems and procedures to deliver optimum performance from service providers in delivering high-quality park management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contract Management: Ensure contracts are effectively planned, designed, procured, managed, and delivered at the highest possible quality standards, using best practice contract and asset management principles and delivered within the constraints of adopted time frames and budgets.
  2. Service Provider Management: Ensure service provider compliance with specifications through appropriate controls and effective performance management and ensure outcomes are monitored and measured.
  3. Asset Management: Deliver strong contract and asset management including contract administration and management of financials, relationships, performance, quality, risk, data, programs, timeframes for delivery, reporting, plans, proactive and reactive service levels, renewal projects, audits, and WHS.
  4. Program Delivery: Contribute to planning, implementation, and delivery of the parks and open space program of the City's Sustainable Sydney 2030 Strategy, Greening Sydney Plan, and Asset Management Plans.
  5. Park Asset Management: Ensure park assets are well presented, sustainable, safe, and provide high quality amenity for the community.
  6. Specifications and Contracts: Develop specifications, technical investigations, contracts, procedures, and other service delivery arrangements for park assets and operations.
  7. Contractor and Consultant Management: Engage and manage contractors, service providers, and consultants in accordance with the relevant contracts and the City's policies.
  8. Quality Service Delivery: Ensure quality service delivery and value for money.
  9. Data Analysis: Effectively collect and analyse data using City tools and systems.
  10. Risk Management: Monitor issues and trends in asset and service performance, act on data to ensure operational issues are addressed quickly and identify and address gaps in data required to drive performance.
  11. Industry Research: Research and monitor industry trends, establish appropriate service benchmarks, develop strategies and initiatives, and input into operations and systems to improve management of the City's parks.
  12. Legislative Compliance: Meet the City's legislative obligations and contractual conditions in relation to delivery of parks assets and services.
  13. Technical Advice: Provide expert technical advice in relation to parks and open spaces management.
  14. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as an interface with internal and external stakeholders, establish and maintain collaborative relationships, ensure comprehensive communication and consultation and build productive relationships with stakeholders.
  15. Continuous Improvement: Co-ordinate and implement efficient and effective continuous improvement processes for the City's parks e.g. quality management, performance management, work systems and procedures, program evaluation, best practice, and benchmarking approaches.
  16. Policy Compliance: Comply with and keep abreast of any relevant legislation applicable to the performance of the duties of this position.
