- This site-based supervisor role offers opportunities to expand across multiple sites, providing a challenging and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise trade staff, labour hire, and subcontractor personnel.
- Lead and develop a team of professionals.
- Supervise mechanical and structural projects, SMP shutdowns, and general maintenance activities.
- Be responsible for both planned and reactive activities, including maintenance on yard machines (conveyors, stacker/reclaimers, and shiploaders), structural maintenance, and repair projects.
About You:
- You should have a trade background with supervisor qualifications/training and experience.
- Significant site experience in the engineering and maintenance industry, operating on high-compliance industrial/mining sites around Newcastle Ports, is essential.
- Dedication to achieving overall desired project outcomes in relation to safety, quality, and financial results is crucial.
- Experience in Workshop fabrication, Site Installation, Shutdowns, Piping, SMP, Civil, and Construction works is necessary.
- You should have a disciplined approach to work planning, action, and follow-up.
- Committed to diversity and inclusion, you take a proactive approach to resolving issues and possess excellent attention to detail.
- An excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills is required.
- Intermediate MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, are necessary.
- A commitment to achieving Zero Harm and 100% compliance to KPIs is essential.
- Experience with quality systems and compliance is necessary.
- Attention to detail, along with an adaptable 'can-do' attitude, is required.
