Job Description:

Leading Innovation in Technologies Education

We are seeking an exceptional leader to head our Technologies Faculty, driving innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the curriculum, delivering high-quality experiences in Design Technologies and Engineering.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary educator with a deep understanding of Technologies education, including curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff, students, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the Technologies curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Design Technologies and Engineering
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving
  • Mentor and support staff within the Technologies Faculty, fostering professional growth and development
  • Manage department resources, budgets, and facilities to ensure the effective delivery of the Technologies program
  • Build partnerships with industry leaders, universities, and external stakeholders to enhance student learning opportunities and outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Design, Technology, or related fields)
  • Proven leadership experience within an educational institution or similar environment, with a track record of successfully leading teams
  • Deep understanding of Technologies education, including curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff, students, and external partners
  • A commitment to promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Experience building partnerships with industry, academia, and the wider community to enrich student learning
