Position Overview
The Trainer Assessor will be a key member of the Sustainability team, focusing on enhancing training and assessment processes for our underground mining operations. This role is essential in fostering a culture of safety and competency within the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage daily with underground staff to conduct training sessions and competency evaluations.
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of training documentation and needs assessments.
- Prepare reports on training activities and ensure records are completed within designated timelines.
- Collaborate with the Senior Training Advisor to identify external training requirements.
- Assist in managing training budgets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will either reside locally or be available for a fly-in/fly-out roster. A successful applicant will possess substantial experience as a Trainer Assessor in underground mining settings, demonstrating the ability to work independently while effectively planning and scheduling training programs.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships and engaging stakeholders, with a dedicated focus on promoting a 'Safety First' culture.
Essential Qualifications
- Formal qualifications or extensive experience in underground mining operations.
- Cert IV Assessor (mandatory) or Cert IV TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
- Open Class Western Australian Driver's License.
- Certifications in Permit to Work, Working at Heights, and Confined Spaces.
