This key role involves working on a range of transport, buildings, and Defence infrastructure projects, focusing on the design of fire service systems.
As a technical specialist, you will work under general supervision and perform all conventional aspects of Fire Protection while devising new approaches to problems encountered.
You will have opportunities to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520), as well as NSW registered certifier C14 (building hydraulics) certification.
You should have experience in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications, including the design of wet and dry fire services.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare and verify designs and calculations using manual methods or computer programs through both concept and detailed design.
Initiation of good relationships with clients is essential for this role.
You will also have knowledge and experience of relevant standards and NCC, project lifecycle, engineering design processes for infrastructure projects, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
