The Senior Contract Management Specialist will provide contract management support across four mining operations. This permanent role is on a 9-day fortnight roster at our Perth corporate office.
About the Role:- Manage key contractual relationships and performance outcomes between Gold Fields and its contractors.
- Identify and create opportunities for cost reduction and value-add in all agreements entered into on behalf of Gold Fields Australia Pty Ltd and its related entities.
- Lead negotiations and provide input into the development, implementation and management of contracts.
- Develop and ongoing management of key spend categories within an assigned contract portfolio per Gold Fields' category management framework and company policies/procedures.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to review and develop category management strategies.
- Compile agreement documentation, recommendations for award and manage variations.
- Manage contractor relationships with a view to minimising commercial risk.
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law or related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining, resources and/or construction industries.
- A proven track record in developing and managing a broad range of goods, services and works contracts, including forming sourcing strategies, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award and ongoing commercial management.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- SAP Ariba and SAP MM experience highly regarded.
