Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to provide contract management support across our mining operations. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Advisor: Contracts and be responsible for managing key contractual relationships and performance outcomes between us and our contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contract portfolios to ensure optimal commercial outcomes, including identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value-add in all agreements entered into on our behalf.
  • Lead negotiations and provide input into the development, implementation, and management of contracts.
  • Develop and ongoing manage key spend categories within assigned contract portfolios per our category management framework and company policies/procedures.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to review and develop category management strategies.
  • Compile agreement documentation, recommendations for award, and manage variations.
  • Minimise commercial risk by effectively managing contractor relationships.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law, or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining, resources, and/or construction industries.
  • A proven track record in developing and managing a broad range of goods, services, and works contracts, including forming sourcing strategies, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award, and ongoing commercial management.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • SAP Ariba and SAP MM experience is highly regarded.
