As a seasoned Contracts Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the contract lifecycle of major projects, ensuring compliance and driving successful outcomes. You will lead the contract management process from initiation to close, drafting, negotiating, and executing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective contract strategies, aligning with organisational policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, extensions, and renewals, to ensure timely delivery of services and solutions as outlined in contracts.
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure contractual compliance, minimising legal exposure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, resolve disputes, and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, laws, and regulations related to contracts and contractual obligations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Law, or Construction Management.
  • Significant years of experience within senior roles, specifically within major project environments within mining/construction industries.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close complex contracts, resulting in successful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leading and managing teams, proficient in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
