Diesel Mechanic Job Title

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our heavy vehicle maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.

  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Train and mentor junior mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge.

This role requires a trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with a minimum number of years' experience working in the heavy vehicle industry. You must have strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on diesel trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting fleet performance.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize and action repair requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Support the training and development of junior mechanics as needed.
