Job Title: High Voltage Specialist

This role involves working with high voltage systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.

  • Oversee compliance with energy isolation procedures and develop acceptance criteria for authorizing campus energy isolation plans.
  • Implement learnings, provide consistency, and drive rigor into Microsoft's Energy Isolation program to meet or exceed company safety policy requirements.
  • Utilize local code and standards as a foundation for Microsoft's Energy Isolation program throughout the campus.
  • Establish centralized Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) procedure with the engineering team and determine individual LOTO procedures.
  • Initiate energy isolation activities with continuous updates.
  • Coordinate with the construction team where energy isolation activities may impact data center core operations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in all energy isolation incident investigations within area of responsibility.
  • Participate in high-risk activity planning meetings associated with energy isolation.
  • Review SOWs, SOPs, and MOPs related to high-risk activities.
  • Verify qualifications, training, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for personnel performing work.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year of technical engineering experience.
