Quality Engineer Opportunity


Talenza is assisting a household name in Australia and globally recognised as a leader in their field with finding a Quality Engineer. This role requires someone who has a strong understanding of backend and frontend automation and testing to work with the Test Lead on a large program of work.


This 6-month contract, with extensions based on performance, offers a daily rate of $650-$750 inclusive of superannuation. The company provides a hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to work on a large-scale transformation project that will enhance your career.


The position involves collaborating with BAs and Engineers to develop clear test criteria, creating and executing test cases, and maintaining an automation suite. You will also identify and track issues within squad processes and participate in CI/CD practices.


You should have at least 3 years of quality, automation, and testing experience, including UI and API Automation using tools like Cypress and Rest Assured. Non-Functional Testing skills are highly desired, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop and maintain clear Acceptance Criteria, ensuring complete coverage.
  • Create and execute test notes/cases, aligned with requirements, and maintain test plans to support comprehensive quality assurance.
  • Promote quality ownership within the squad, including automation suite maintenance and managing data requirements.
  • Identify and track issues within squad processes, ensuring they are addressed or accepted in alignment with stories.
  • Engage in CI/CD practices, adhere to coding standards, raise environment issues, and actively participate in squad ceremonies.

Requirements:




  • At least 3 years of quality, automation, and testing experience.
  • Experience with both UI and API Automation using tools like Cypress and Rest Assured.
  • Non-Functional Testing skills are highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
