Construction Manager for Large-Scale Infrastructure Projects

The Project
The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments:
- Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
- Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
- RAAF Base Wagga
The estimated capital investment of $1.7 billion will incorporate various elements, including:
- Construction of new messing and living-in accommodation
- Construction of new training facilities
- Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
- Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the project team, responsible for effectively coordinating design, procurement, and construction elements to ensure safety, time, cost, and environmental objectives are achieved.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to a culture of 'safety underpins everything we do'
- Actively coordinating procurement and construction elements
- Managing short and long-term construction planning for the works
- Developing and monitoring KPIs and productivity analysis against program and budget
- Liaising with subcontractors/suppliers and working with site personnel
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial large construction projects
- Demonstrated experience in planning and reporting against cost and time
- Strong understanding of programme management, deadlines, and budget controls
- Strong attitude and awareness of Safety
- High-level verbal and written communication skills
This role offers a competitive remuneration package, including an attractive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health and wellbeing programs, discount portals, and company-funded salary continuance insurance.
