Export Policy Officer Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to inform policy and program development through research and analysis. The Export Policy Officer will play a key role in shaping our organization's approach to export operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and program development
• Prepare briefing materials, correspondence, reports, and other products for senior staff
• Review industry reports, policy documents, and stakeholder meeting papers to progress programs
• Engage and maintain relationships with various stakeholders
• Provide technical and professional advice on export operations and support decision-making
• Supervise staff, guiding work priorities autonomously or as part of a team

Ideal Candidate:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information effectively
• Motivation to work independently with limited direction
• Demonstrated ability to engage with colleagues and manage significant issues or projects
• Ability to develop and support complex relationships with various stakeholders
• Professional representation of the branch in informed and confident manner
• Prioritization of tasks and production of high-quality work within agreed timeframes

Desirable Experience:
• Trade policy, program, export legislation, or agricultural industry experience
