Empower Young Minds as a Skills Coach

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to work with young people aged 12-17 who have behavioural challenges, providing a consistent and supportive environment where they can learn and practice pro-social skills.

In this role, you will engage young people in activities, build strong relationships with them, and support their transition into long-term care.

Our ideal candidate has experience working with children and young people, preferably in a youth work or education setting. The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to engage young people in activities and build strong relationships\
  • Capacity to provide a consistent and supportive environment\
  • Understanding of pro-social skills and their importance in supporting young people's development\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills\

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team\
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing needs and priorities\
  • Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures\
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately\
