About the Role

We are seeking a talented Junior Data Scientist to join our Strategy & Performance team at WaterNSW. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality data products to support our analytical, computational, and experimental models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed analytical systems to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Contribute to technical support in development and review of assigned tasks.
  • Undertake formal and on-the-job training to develop skills across a broad range of areas within WaterNSW.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in applied data science, IT, computer science, engineering, or equivalent field.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in analysing and visualising multi-dimensional large datasets using Python or R language.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft online platforms.
