We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team at WaterNSW. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing high-quality data products to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed analytical systems to ensure timely and accurate data delivery
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Contribute to technical support in development and review of assigned tasks
  • Undertake formal and on-the-job training to develop skills across a broad range of areas

Requirements:

  • Strong desire to contribute skills and expertise to our business
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent/identifies as such and is accepted by the community
  • Commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and values
  • Relevant degree in applied data science, IT, computer science, engineering, or equivalent field
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Able to demonstrate experience in analysing and visualising multi-dimensional large datasets
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
