Job Description

Maintenance technicians play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of industrial facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks, repairing equipment, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have trade qualifications as a Fitter and/or Boilermaker with experience in Conveyors, Motors, and Gearboxes. Forklift Tickets are an added advantage, but willingness to train is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform major and minor repairs of fixed and mobile plant and equipment
  • Assist with plant and equipment breakdowns
  • Conduct minor welding on plant and equipment
  • Participate in preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all plant and equipment
  • Work in accordance with a daily plan for routine maintenance and complete relevant maintenance records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and other programs as required
Requirements:
  • Trade qualifications as a Fitter and/or Boilermaker with experience in Conveyors, Motors, and Gearboxes
  • Forklift Tickets an added advantage, but willing to train
  • Ability & willingness to pass a medical in line with the requirements of the role
  • Experience in a similar position within a similar industry
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
