Job Role:

The Plant Mechanic will provide comprehensive on-site support for a diverse range of CAT equipment across various industries.

This role involves diagnosing faults on Caterpillar equipment at customer sites, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and servicing of mining and marine machinery, and implementing Product Improvement Plans and Support Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose faults on Caterpillar equipment
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance of mining and marine machinery
  • Implement Product Improvement Plans and Support Programs
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Help customers achieve machine availability and reliability KPIs

Requirements:

  • Australian Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate with post-trade experience in Field Service
  • Driver's License and LR license (mandatory)
  • HRWL (LF, DG, WP) & Working at Heights certifications
  • Refrigerant Handling License (preferred)
  • Experience with Caterpillar Mining Machinery and Marine equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills using CAT SIS & CAT ET
  • Ability to work under pressure in remote environments, both independently and in teams
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
