Job Description- As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in driving secure innovation at scale.
- You will help shape how security is embedded in the culture and practices of modern software development.
Our DevSecOps Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and help evolve our DevSecOps maturity.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain CI pipelines, security controls, monitoring solutions, and supporting software deployments.
- Ensure all software products are secure, reliable, and compliant with client requirements.
- Leverage experience in virtual environments, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, and security automation.
- Mentor teams of engineers, ensuring the adoption of DevSecOps best practices and principles.
- Collaborate with software engineers, security specialists, and operational teams to embed security best practices.
This role involves working closely with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive business outcomes and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements- Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes), artifact repositories (e.g., JFrog Artifactory), and container security best practices.
- Competent scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and Infrastructure as Code.
- Exposure to other Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and security principles.
- Familiarity with software development security tooling (e.g., SonarQube, Grype, JFrog Xray).
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic tack.
- Knowledge of the ASD Essential 8 and ISM and how to apply the relevant controls.
- Experience with database administration (e.g., PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB).
- A strategic mindset for identifying and managing security risks across the SDLC, with an ability to develop risk mitigation strategies that align with enterprise objectives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Security clearance is required.
