About the Team:
The Procurement and Contracting Assurance (PCA) Team is a new function within the Commercial Division of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. PCA is responsible for liaison and coordination across all Defence Groups and Services.
This is a high-profile function with responsibility to produce regular reporting on data-driven compliance monitoring and outcomes.
In this team, you will have oversight of complex, high-profile procurement activities to support the Australian Defence Force.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who pride themselves on delivering to a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Manager: Develop, implement and maintain high-quality systems and processes for ensuring complete and accurate management of bids and tenders from receipt to award.
- Procurement Planning Manager: Develop, implement and manage procurement plans to meet customer requirements.
- Catalogue Content Coordinator: Coordinate the uploading of catalogue content to procurements platforms in line with customer specifications.
- Commercial Operations Manager: Provide commercial advice and guidance to customers throughout their purchasing journey.
- Category Management Manager: Analyze market trends and develop category strategies to optimize procurement performance and improve cost savings.
- Contract Administration Officer: Manage contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance and effective delivery.
About You:
You will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities and a collaborative mindset to lead teams and foster partnerships with stakeholders.
You will be an expert in procurement principles, policies and procedures, with experience in managing procurement operations and improving business efficiency.
You will be able to demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Specialist qualifications or certifications in procurement, supply chain or a related field would be highly regarded but not essential.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret data and drive strategic decision-making.
Experience working in government agencies or large-scale organisations would be beneficial but not required.
