Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to engage and grow your analytical skills in an environment where you work with passionate people in a tight-knit team with autonomy to shape your role.

The Role Includes:
  • Assisting customers to improve their API, automation and historic data experiences
  • Working with customers to use external betting tools to implement automated strategies
  • Educating customers using historic data and external betting tools
  • Maintaining and utilising reporting to identify high potential customers
  • Driving growth of customers engaging with modelling and automation through outbound campaigns
  • Working with the Automation team to develop and grow the AUSNZ Betfair analytical community
  • Accommodating and supporting the education of the internal team and customers regarding automation and betting tools
  • Supporting the creation of localised AUSNZ automation and modelling content for customers
  • Assisting with the planning and running of automation and data modelling competitions for customers
  • Assisting with the coordination of data, automation, education workshops and other community events
Requirements Include:
  • Broad understanding of programming with some coding experience ideal
  • Exceptional customer service skills including written and verbal communication
  • Ability to explain API and programming concepts to non-technical people in simple terms
  • Solid intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of numeracy
  • Self-motivation and strong personal drive
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company
  • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both as a member of a team and autonomously
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Understanding of databases predictive modelling and/or reporting experience (SQL skills) (advantage)
  • Experience Arbing or Trading on the Exchange (advantage)
