Clinical Specialist Role Overview

Boston Scientific has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Clinical Specialist to join our elite sales team. This role requires extensive collaboration with leading healthcare professionals, enabling you to see firsthand the impact you have on individual lives.

The primary focus of this position is to provide field/remote clinical, technical & educational support in Electrophysiology (EP) to assigned accounts across Australia and New Zealand. You will be supporting the introduction of new therapies, including Pulsed Field Ablation through our recent launch of the FARAPULSE system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your technical knowledge of Electrophysiology, biophysics, and radiofrequency ablation principles to provide clinical support, including basic trouble-shooting and guidance to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of Boston Scientific products and provide training to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, and Nurses.
  • Travel as required to meet customer demand for services, attending cases face-to-face or remotely, operating Boston Scientific products, and providing detailed training/advice on clinical attributes/techniques.
  • Provide clinical support for various Boston Scientific EP systems and catheters, developing a deep understanding of hospital workflows and business relationships.

Required Competencies:

  • Product/Technical Knowledge:
    • A thorough understanding of Cardiac Electrophysiology, biophysics of radiofrequency, and cryoablation principles.
    • Successful completion of relevant training and proactive maintenance of technical knowledge in electrophysiology.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Effective networking to achieve work-related goals and building rapport with various individuals.
  • Organisation & Reporting:
    • Maintaining well-organized materials, files, and reports, and planning/prioritizing territory activity.
  • Results Focused:
    • Demonstrating a growth mindset, measuring own performance, and seeking feedback for self-development.
    • Recognizing opportunities and maintaining a flexible approach to meet goals.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous clinical case experience within electrophysiology/rhythm management essential.
