NDIS Support Worker Role

At our organisation, we strive to provide holistic and caring NDIS services across north Brisbane. Our team is dedicated to delivering community access, in-home support, group outings, personal training, support coordination and more.

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will be assisting clients in daily activities, getting ready, helping clean, and assisting in meal prep. You will also provide mental health support, companionship, and social support.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III Individual Support or experience in support work, aged care, childcare, or studying some allied health certificate. A current driver's license and comprehensive insurance are also required.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting clients with daily activities, getting ready, and helping clean
  • Providing mental health support, companionship, and social support
  • Be prepared to assist with manual transfers and mobilisation
  • De-escalate situations
  • Provide good communication in shift notes

Additional requirements include:

  • Manual handling, personal cares, dealing with colostomy & stoma bags
  • Training can be provided for the client's specific needs

This role involves working afternoons, evenings, flexible hours, Monday to Friday, on call, public holidays, rotating roster, shift work, and weekend availability. Supplemental pay types include annual bonus and penalty rates.

COVID-19 considerations include practicing safe hand hygiene and not attending work if ill.
